The rules

Gamavas (gamavas.fun) is a directory and launchpad for indie games, run by Alubasa Labs LTD, a company registered in Nigeria (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By using Gamavas or creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Gamavas.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

Anyone can browse and play games without an account. To create an account, you must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf. You can't use Gamavas if we've previously suspended your account.

• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person per account. Don't share or sell accounts.
• Pick a handle that doesn't impersonate someone else or a brand you don't represent. We may change or reclaim handles that break these terms or that we need for Gamavas pages.

You can stop using Gamavas anytime. To delete your account, email privacy@gamavas.fun.

The games listed on Gamavas are made by independent creators, not by us. Most run on the creator's own website or store. We review games before they go live, but we don't control them and can't promise they're safe, accurate, available or suitable for you. Play them at your own risk, and follow any terms the game or its website sets.

Audience labels such as “Kid-friendly” and “18+” come from the creator and our review. They're a guide, not a guarantee. Parents should check games before children play them.

When you submit a game, you confirm that:

• you made it or have the right to list it, along with its title, description, images, video and links;
• the details you give, including its audience label, are accurate;
• it doesn't break the law or anyone's rights, and doesn't contain malware or anything that harms players' devices or data.

You keep ownership of your game and everything you submit. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for example, resize images or trim video) and share your listing, on Gamavas and to promote Gamavas and your game, including on social media. This licence ends when you remove the listing, except for promotion already published.

“Generate my listing” uses AI to draft your listing from your game's page and notes. Drafts can be wrong; you're responsible for checking what you submit.

We decide which games to publish, and we may reject, edit labels on, or remove any listing, for example if it breaks these terms or we receive a valid complaint.

Don't use Gamavas to:

• break the law or help anyone else break it;
• post or link to content that is hateful, harassing, violent extremist, sexually exploits anyone, or involves minors in any sexual way;
• infringe anyone's copyright, trademarks or other rights;
• impersonate people or organisations, or mislead players;
• spread malware, phishing or scams;
• spam, scrape Gamavas at scale, or interfere with or overload the service, or try to get around its security or limits;
• cheat the XP, badge or leaderboard systems, for example with fake accounts.

XP, levels, streaks and badges are for fun. They have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and we may adjust or reset them, for example to fix mistakes or remove XP earned by cheating.

Gamavas is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we'll show their price and any extra terms before you pay.

The Gamavas name, logo, design and software belong to Alubasa Labs LTD. You may not copy or use them except as these terms allow. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

We may suspend or close accounts, or remove content, that break these terms, put others at risk or expose us to legal liability. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why. We may also change or stop parts of Gamavas; if we shut Gamavas down, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

Gamavas is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we're not responsible for third-party games, websites or content.

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₦50,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

If you break these terms or the law, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We'd like to resolve any problem informally first, so please contact us. Disputes that can't be resolved that way will be handled by the courts of Nigeria. If you live elsewhere, you keep any rights your local consumer law gives you.

We may update these terms as Gamavas grows, and we'll change the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using Gamavas after that, you accept the new terms.
